Traé L. Fips also known as Traé1k is a self taught versatile painter born in Cleveland, Ohio. He’s a realistic pop artist who creates works of art using a variety of media and techniques. Frequently combining acrylic, oil and resin to achieve vibrant and bold works of art. His signature style is immediately recognizable among Cleveland locals.
For Traé, his love of art stemmed from his early experiences of drawing in his school books and his art has flourished and evolved. As he grew he continued to hone his art until he became an artist who uses portraiture to explore the world around him. His sources of inspiration are the people and places he encounters. Family, lovers and hip hop artist are usually the subject of his portraits. Usually painted in bright colors to represent reflection and peace.
Fips started painting in August of 2019. He’s taken part in several group exhibitions and pop ups. His work is also in numerous homes and businesses across the country. Traé1k is set to debut his first collection in 2022.
