Therese Kramer is an fine artist in Ohio who specializes in acrylic paintings and Mosaic glass designs. A large number of her paintings are of the Cleveland area, and Ohio Islands. Therese's work has been exhibited in local Ohio venues such as Stella's Art Gallery, and Desdemona's Art Gallery. Her work is also featured on Fine Art America and Society 6.
Therese received her formal art training at Dominican University and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has a bachelors degree in Art, Art Education and a Master's Degree in Art Therapy from Ursuline College. In 2008 she started Willowcatdesigns art design business.
Therese has spent over 25 years teaching art and doing art therapy with many populations of people in the Cleveland area including those with Dementia, Mental illness, Homelessness, and those with Developmental Disabilities. With a great satisfaction in seeing people with special needs feel successful, she has held many local art shows in workshops, nursing home, libraries and senior centers to showcase her clients work.
My inspiration comes from the places I am happiest and that is with the friends and family that I have shared experiences with. I am very proud of my state of Ohio; Metroparks, Lake Erie and little quaint towns.
A huge part of me feels the success in helping others, and having them succeed and increase their self esteem. To me being an artist means to teach, support others and show beauty in a different way in a piece of art.
