My name is Isaiah Williams and I am an artist. Since I was 8 years old, I have been a consistent and prolific practitioner of expressing myself and my perception of the world. My artwork ranges from landscapes, creatures, and portraits to modern art concepts. I am always looking for ways to use art to connect with others - especially young people. Even from a young age I would sketch cartoon characters I would see on TV or flip through art books for hours. I want to inspire young people to believe in themselves and to follow their dreams, the way other artists and mentors inspired me to follow mine.
Art is not only woven into everything that we see, touch, taste, smell, and hear, but it is also endless in the ways it can make us feel. Art can make us nostalgic, uncomfortable, awed, despondent, angry - it can even heal us. To be able to spend my life creating images that resonate with people on a level beyond what words are capable of evoking is the greatest and most beautiful gift I could imagine.
