Quirk’s work reflects the completely self-taught approach of its creator; happily ignorant of classification or boundaries, egalitarian, playful, and wide-ranging in the influences and mediums employed. Intricately detailed mandalas painted on skulls, Star Wars helmets, bowling pins, or anything at all; abstract fluid art on canvas and tile; colorful digital art drawing inspiration from psychedelic art pioneers like Peter Max and Rick Griffin, or Op Art founders Julio Le Parc and Victor Vasarely, as well as contemporary artists and designers such as Andy Gilmore and Simon C. Page; projection mapping and laser styling. So long as Quirk maintains his focus on his current endeavors, and if he finds a place to settle down long enough to build out his vision with his dog Lola and her cat Psil as his assistants, the list of mediums and influences will surely change and grow.
