I am a Cleveland based artist and Cleveland Institute of Art graduate (’03).
My upbringing in the rust-belt (son of a steelworker) and love of industrial art was a natural catalyst for my works on wood/steel/fabric.
I create works that utilize a variety of subject matters, which include still life, cityscapes, nature and industrial photography.
All images are tied to an idea of transforming re-purposed materials into a connection between natural and industrial. Images are inked by hand to materials from the location that the photo was taken. I then paint using different layers of natural colored stain.
My work pays respect to the industrial rust-belt where I was born.
