I endeavor to express my ideas and thoughts in paint, paper, and canvas usually in the format of a narrative but not always. My work can be both realistic and expressionistic because I live in both worlds as a visual artist, having trained in representational art at university but later, deciding to forego my drafting skills, my imagery became more ''art brut'' when I began using my untrained ''left hand'' to paint with. For the last 5 decades I have exhibited my paintings for the most part in northeast Ohio. I hold B.F.A., M.A. and M.F.A. degrees from Kent State University and held the position of adjunct professor at The University of Akron in The School of Art for 23 years.
