Gazala is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Cleveland. Her work captures issues of power and oppression, from class warfare to gentrification to Palestinian human rights, and underscores subversive narratives and marginalized voices.

Gazala's work as both an individual artist and as a community advocate have been funded by DeCapital, Ohio Arts Council, Puffin Foundation West, Franklinton Arts District, Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, and the Muna & Basem Hishmeh Foundation.

Her artwork has shown at SPACES, Cleveland Print Room, Ohio State University Hopkins Gallery, Columbus Cultural Arts Center, Project 1612 in Peoria, Union Street Gallery Chicago, Percolate Art Space Pittsburgh and Newburgh Arts Center NY.
