I work in several art mediums including encaustic and found object assemblage. My encaustic paintings seek to capture the spiritual essence of land, sea and sky. My assemblages are theater boxes constructed for imaginary plays and operas. I invite the viewer to write the narrative and compose the music that fills these little spaces. Most materials (old barn wood, picture frame molding, vintage book pages, jewelry findings, watch parts, seashells) have had a previous life before inhabiting my little theaters. Each theater is lit with electric and/or battery operated LED lights. If you would like to get in touch my email address is: lindamayerfineart@gmail.com
