Specializing in figurative painting and drawing, my art practice stems from an interest in giving a voice to the voiceless. I have spent many years creating compelling portraits and figurative-based narrative paintings and drawings to provide representation for underrepresented communities and people. My education as a biomedical illustrator has informed much of my practice with a concern for details and observation, but my work has evolved to focus on stories and people. I want to contribute to this world while I am here in it, and my art is the way that I can do that. Whether it's LGBTQ equality and acceptance, racism, homelessness, gun reform, disability awareness, or other subjects, I paint with compassion and with a greater cause guiding my hand. I want to capture the souls of the people I paint, the issues that are important to them, and the shared humanity in all of us.

My artwork has been displayed in galleries and museums throughout the U.S. including the Makeshift Museum in Los Angeles; the U.S. Capitol Building and the Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C.; the Alliance Gallery, Lichtundfire Gallery, and the Diane von Furstenberg Studio in New York.

My work has appeared in several publications including Beautiful Bizarre; American Art Collector; Art Voices Magazine; and White Hot Magazine.

Through my degree in Biomedical Illustration from the Cleveland Institute of Art I have collaborated with the Cleveland Clinic; University Hospitals; The Cleveland Museum of Natural History; The Cleveland Botanical Gardens; and Case Western Reserve's Allen Memorial Library.
