I am in the middle of my life, and have recently discovered that I have some innate abilities to create art. I always admired and knew art, of course, but never attempted it myself. It took a friend and a paint set four years ago for the spark to catch. Since then, creating two dimensional art IS who I am. I am taking classes and learning new things daily. The greatest thing about all of this is what I have discovered in myself. I want the viewer of my art to see the possibility of their own hidden talents, no matter what point in their lives.
Sunset Point
Charcoal on paper. Inspired by seeing Artist Point at Yellowstone in person two years ago.
Great Horned Owl
Acrylic on canvas. I loved and at the same time am maddened by extreme detail work. Owls!
Eggs One: Breakfast or Sunrise
Acrylic on canvas. Making the bubbles in the white drove me to pain this! So much fun!
Raphael’s Head
Charcoal on paper. Was directed to recreate a Renaissance master. Raphael’s Head of a Young Acolyte.
Winsome
Foxes are a favorite subject. The contrast and color of fur and giving it personality is the joy!
