Julia Fisher is a playwright, actor, director, and intimacy director based in Cleveland, Ohio. She is the Resident Intimacy Director at Rubber City Theatre, and is also an intimacy director at Ohio Shakespeare Festival. Julia is a member of the Young Playwrights Collective, with whom she has presented numerous new works, including a workshop production of Tatterhood, a new musical for which she wrote the book and lyrics, performed at Playwrights Local. Julia has trained with Cleveland Play House, Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium, Ohio Shakespeare Festival, Theatrical Intimacy Education, and Movement and Combat Education. She has performed in productions and staged readings at BorderLight International Theatre & Fringe Festival, Cleveland Play House, Ensemble Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre, Ohio Shakespeare Festival, Talespinner Children’s Theatre, Playwrights Local, and other local theatre companies. She has also been involved with the Marilyn Bianchi Kids Playwriting Festival through Dobama Theatre in a variety of capacities. Julia just completed two radio play adaptations: "Lady Molly of Scotland Yard" and "Lady Molly of Scotland Yard: The Murder at Mathis Café," both of which are available on Ohio Shakespeare Festival's YouTube and SoundCloud. She is now working on a new mystery radio play for Playwrights Local.
