I have been intrigued by making abstract landscape paintings for thirty-five years. Various combinations of color evoke a feeling of one season or another. Paint and brushstrokes come together to suggest elements of landscape: sky, clouds, mountains, desert, water, mist. My paintings don't follow a plan but are intuitive in nature, the blending and building of color and paint eventually arrive at a finishing point. The process is physical in the early stages with active painting and more detail oriented as the image develops and gets redefined.
I completed my B.A. in Connecticut and Masters here in a joint program between Case Western Reserve and the Cleveland Museum of Art. I have exhibited in Connecticut and France, Michigan and Cleveland. My paintings are included in collections in California, Texas, Ohio, New York and Boston. A very special place to me is Cleveland's vibrant Little Italy district, where I have been exhibiting on and off throughout my career. Over the past few years, I have been exhibiting at Amore Gallery with Kate Geraci in a space where I used to exhibit in my late twenties. It is fun to be back celebrating the Feast of the Assumption and Summer and Holiday Art Walks and finally where else can you do the Meatball Crawl!!
