Doriyan Coleman is a Photographer and Educator based in Cleveland, Ohio. His work is centered around capturing the visual poetry of everyday life through the candid art of Street Photography.
Themes of togetherness, sublimity and individuality are common within his work. Through his Photography, he tells stories of days of our lives, and aims create a stronger culture of humanity.
From September, 2022 to early 2023, his work was featured on the Cleveland Public Square Art Wall.
In October of 2022, he had four photographs added to the permanent gallery of the Glick Center of Metro Health.
As an Educator, he works with the Cleveland Print Room to create programs that educate the youth on core Photography fundamentals, the history of the craft, and cultivating a sense of one’s creative voice.
From August 2022 to May 2023, he was an Artist in Residency through the Cleveland Print Room and Teach Arts Ohio.
He worked to create a curriculum of Photography for Urban Community School, teaching the history and fundamentals of Photography to their middle school students.
The students would go on to deeply strengthen their creative insights, and have a gallery exhibition of their work installed for an end of the year showcase.
Coleman also maintains an active YouTube channel, where he creates videos centered around Street Photography, tips, theory and more.
