I am a portrait artist and an illustrator with over 30 years experience in the field. After working as an illustrator for many years while commissioning portraits out of my home studio, my focus now is exclusively portraits; people, pets and nature which has always been my passion. Even as a small child I was intrigued by faces and expressions, both people and animals as well as the intricate design in nature. I was drawn to the Creator through His creation and the complex detail to be seen and studied. As I am very detail oriented, I work mainly in fine art colored pencils which allows me to express what I see, capturing the unique personality and beauty of my subject. I also like the way pencils respond on various papers differently, and distinct in style and individuality to the artist.
