Allison Hall is a mixed media artist and educator currently creating in Cleveland, Ohio. Hall earned her BFA in Painting and Literary Studies from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014, and has since been expanding her work through many mediums such as design and installation. Her pieces are heavily influenced by current events, images seen while in motion, and literature. After studying at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Ireland, in 2012, her work expanded into abstracted landscape often containing wandering figures or houses tucked into the distance. She is interested in abstracting realism, taking elements of the landscape and figure and warping them through color and line. Hall works in both oil and acrylic, as well as graphite, water color, gouache, and charcoal, and works frequently with printmaking and collage. She is currently teaching various classes and workshops the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood, Ohio, and Firelands Association for the Visual Arts(FAVA) in Oberlin, Ohio.
