Allison Bogard Hall is a mixed media artist and educator living and working in Cleveland, Ohio. Hall earned her BFA in Painting and Literary Studies from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014, and has since been expanding her work through many mediums such as design and installation. Her pieces are heavily influenced by current events, images seen while in motion, and literature. After studying at the Burren College of Art in Ireland in 2012, her work expanded into abstracted landscape often containing wandering figures or houses tucked into the distance. She is interested in abstracting realism, taking elements of the landscape and figure and warping them through color and line. Hall works in both oil and acrylic, as well as graphite, water color, gouache, and charcoal, and works frequently with printmaking and collage. She is currently working as the Studio Manager for Foundations + Continuing Education at Cleveland Institute of Art.
